Most of us do this work alone.
The crying, the figuring it out, the picking ourselves back up.. we do it all when nobody’s watching.
And we manage. We are remarkably good at managing.
But, there is a difference between managing and actually changing.
Between simply getting through life and having someone beside you who can see what you can’t yet.
Someone to zoom out when you’re inside it, to point you back to yourself when you wobble, to hold the standard when you’re tempted to lower it and to remind you of who you truly are, when you’ve temporarily forgotten.
Perspective is one of the most underrated tools in existence because when you’re inside your own life, you can’t always see what’s really happening.
So, having someone outside of that.. someone who isn’t emotionally involved, who isn’t going to just tell you what you want to hear and who genuinely believes in the version of you, you’re becoming.. that changes everything.
Doing this work alone IS possible.
But doing it with someone who refuses to let you settle for less than you’re capable of.. that’s when the real shift happens.
